Default For those of you buried in snow...

It was sunny and 65 degrees here yesterday - perfect for a long hike with Halo!

Short panorama video of the lake where we hiked:

A couple pics - we'll be crossing the lake and going up that hill you can see on the far side:

Halo poses on a big rock

A water break for the pupster, who carries our water in her backpack

These are just with my cell phone, it was a 7-1/2 mile hike, so I didn't bring my big heavy camera.

Here's Keefer on the same hike 3 weeks ago:

A rest stop on the dock before going up the big hill - yes, I wore shorts, in January!

Beautiful scenery and gorgeous doggies! I love the backpacks! I really like that idea for carrying water while hiking. Thanks for sharing.

GRRRR!!! :P It's sunny and gorgeous, but also 36 degrees right now! LOL

They are just too gorgeous-- that first pic of Halo looks like she's going "Mom, REALLY?! Do you HAVE to do this? Can't we just GO?!"

P.S.--- that lake is awesome looking.

Wow, beautiful scenery. And I must say, I never would have guessed those pictures came from your cell phone. It certainly captured the beauty of the scenery and of course your beautiful dogs!

Linda, I was surprised at how well the pictures came out too!

This lake is great, there are over 20 miles of hiking trails in this one park alone, and it adjoins another regional park with another 70 miles of trails.

Seriously, that is an awesome cell phone you have.
It's a beautiful area. I'd love to have somewhere like that to take Gunner for a nice peaceful walk. But I live in NJ.

Beautiful dog, beautiful scenery, and beautiful pictures!

My adult dog carries the water when we go on hikes too. He goes nuts when I get the backpack out. Guess he likes having a job to do!
