He is a very good looking dog.
I dont want you to think I am being rude, it's not my intentions to hurt your feelings, but he does look at least 10 pounds overweight to me. You want to keep them healthy and lean, extra weight is not a good thing for this breed, it is not good for their hips. Can you feel his ribs?

no worries im not taking offense, i want my dog as healthy as possible. yes i can feel his ribs, when he was growing like mad and was 5-6 months old my vet said up him to 6 cups a day, before i went to 6 cups I already switched him to adult kirklands premium lamb and rice cause i thought puppy food was too much for the way his was growing(too fast), last 2 months i have brought him to 4.5 cups a day and for his size he wont I dont want to give him any less.. his long coat+winter coat doesnt help the overweight look either
but A good update, I am resident manager so i live on main floor apt and i work at home so he goes everywhere with me,and dog parks 2-3 times a week, but it isnt enough exercise... So i gave my notice for my job(to go to school) and my wife and I going to move out into the country 5 bedroom victorian style house with my brother who has a blue healer. ![]() been around eachother since pups and are best friends and now get to live together and play in a huge yard together, he will loose that weight quickly im guessing. An thx for thecomments everyone
