After going to that link, it looks like the Estrela comes in brindle--I bet that's your answer!

Hmm last time we weighted him he had almost 20kg, and he was around 6 months.

If I remember correctly, his mom also has floppy ears, but I've never seen such a floppy ear shape before (in front view it's easier to see the uniqueness).

But well, I chose him coz in his photo on the adoption website, he really looked like GSD and he was so cute! I've always had a fascination for GSDs, so that I fell in love with his photo and chose to meet him.

Here's a photo that shows his floppy ears' shape better.

Well his ears look totally different in this picture... more like GSD ears going through one of their stages.

This looks like his mom, or at least of what I can remember of her.

Maybe he really has some Serra Estrela genes, that explains the brindle pattern and the ears floppiness!

I dunno, mom looks like she has mastiff in her. I'd know those huge, blocky heads anywhere

Yep, she looks like an Estrela, so I'll bet you anything your pup's got some Estrela brindle.

What is the Estrela like, in terms of temperament? I've read the breed description, but never met one. I like the idea of a smaller livestock guardian dog.
