CUTE GUY!!! Is this your first GSD? Good breeders spend years studying the breed before taking the plunge into breeding a litter.
There are a lot of traits to consider other than color.

He is adorable, but like everyone else, I'd discourage breeding for color. There's a reason it's "rare", it is often very unhealthy for a dog to have washed out pigment like that, they will be more prone to skin problems, and even sunburn in some cases.
For instance, with Aussies, Danes and even Dachshunds, "double" dapple/merle (or, a lot of white) is "rare" and "pretty" but brings with it a whole host of other issues like deafness and even blindness. Please encourage your father to leave breeding to the pros, and just enjoy that puppy as a lovely pet

His color is rare because it is a fault in the German Shepherd breed. You should not be wanting to intentionally breed puppies that do not meet the GSD standard.
