Default Our Christmas Eve Tradition

We've been doing this since 2007 ... every Christmas Eve, we pack up the pups and a bunch of gift bags with cookies and candies, and head on base to bring holiday cheer to all the Soldiers who are stuck with CQ duty.

Last year, my hubby was deployed, so Mrs.K and a mutual friend went with me with their dogs. This year, my hubby is back and Mrs.K's hubby is gone, our other friend moved. Things always stay interesting when you're military. But the tradition continues.

I was a reindeer (I had antlers). The dogs were shepherds, of course. (Get it?) And my hubby was the Ghost of 10th Mountain Past and carried all the gift bags in his WW2 mountain rucksack. Needless to say, we had a blast and so did the Soldiers we visited.

Yay! Hugs!

Tug! Tug! Tug!

Ronja sort of "demands" cuddles. She'll politely make her way into your lap if you don't give them.

This one makes it look like she's tugging her tail. XD She isn't ... it's her "polite approach" - nuzzling head into chest and wagging the lower half of her tail frantically back and forth.

More tuggggggggg!

Hubby as the Ghost of 10th Mountain Past.

Very dark picture of Mrs.K and myself. XD Time for a camera that's better in low light, I think ...

Ronja is such a cuddler. She's such a sweetheart. All Nala wanted was to tug. So Ronja gave hugs and Nala tugged. haha
