Its been ridiculously hot here lately 102 F with 90% humidity today. Miserable for human and dogs alike, perfect timing for the A/C to quit at my house. After scaring the life out of the AC repair man it was time for a trip to the lake. Jesse and AJ would swim all day if you let them

Thanks for the comments everyone.
AJ (the dark sable) is very protective of the house/yard. Strangers are not welcome there when I'm gone. He knows a few close friends and my mom and dad. They can come and go without issue. But he doesn't like people he doesn't know and the A/C unit is in the back yard where he stays when I'm at work. He was a rescue so I don't know his history/socialization but he only trusts a very select few people. He is fine with anyone when I'm there but when I leave he's a different dog. I've been working with him on being more friendly and he's come along way in the 9 months I've had him. I think that getting neutered at the shelter helped him lose a lot of his attitude. Like I said I'll never know his breeding or how he was trained/treated before I got him but his protection/guarding instinct is very high. |
