will she stay if a stranger calls her? will she stay
if someone walks past with a dog and calls her?
will she stay if you're not in sight? will she stay
if a stranger pulled on her leash?

She is five months old and we JUST started on stay. I'm just being a proud mom. I've never been in any of those situations so I don't know but I'm not sure why you are even asking?

I'm not sure if you are meaning to but you are coming across a little rude. She has classes and we do extra on the side, and I've already said we have only been training for about a month. I never mentioned what I had planned for her future. This video was her first time doing a stay out in the open like that. our training is a very on going thing.

Thank you for your advice but if you could be a little less blunt about it that would be helpful.

I'm focused on getting the basics down before adding distractions.

no, not trying to be rude at all. i actually don't see where i'm being rude at all. i'm not sure what's wrong with being direct. we're on line so it's easy to be taken the wrong way. didn't mean to be rude, sorry. good luck with your training.

True, tones aren't conveyed so it causes confusion. I do appreciate the advice we just aren't to that point yet. But thanks.

She did good. I understand being a proud mom,Daisy and Lucky stayed in their area today despite two dogs running around nuts in neighbors yard and their 8 and 11 years old. Good for you and Rodeo for doing all that training.
