How to post pictures on this site

Can I transfer a photo file here from another source, besides Photobucket? I have photos on backyardchickens.com and was wondering if I can get them here from there.

Your way is the way I do it, and it's the quickest and easiest because photobucket provides that handy pre-formatted link that you can simply copy and paste into your reply window!

The picture icon is for if you use one of the other links in photobucket, or if you're posting a picture from another picture hosting site that doesn't provide pre-formated links, or from elsewhere on the web, such as a petfinder picture or your own website. Those aren't going to already have the IMG tags on either end of the link, which is what the picture icon does.

You can use many other online sources. I just went to the website you mentioned and tested it with a random picture and it worked. I don't want to post someone else's picture here, so I deleted it after I did a post preview. If you use another online source you'd follow MRL's instructions with the picture icon, or you can manually type the Img tags on either end of the link to your picture.

Example: [ IMG]your .jpg link goes here[ /IMG]

I added spaces so the code would show, you would type them without the spaces.

Go to your site and RIGHT click on your photo.

You should have a window open up like I showed in my massive description up top and in the middle will be a URL: that should end with a .jpg or .gif . Just select the entire link and that's what you want. You have a couple of options now on how to put it in here.

It's like all things on a computer, there's more than one way to do exactly the same thing, just figuring out the one that works best for you is the trick!

I've managed to upload photos here. How do I go about creating an album? Do I put the link into the box marked "description?"

I think I need help uploading pictures. I tried 3 times and I still don't get the "blocked" message when you hit the little triangle. When i upload, I just get the small pictures. What am I doing wrong? I uploaded the pictures in the photobucket.com, right click on the picture that I wanted, saw properties, highlighted, copy, went to my new thread, opened the triangle, pasted (no messages appeared) and then a small picture appeared UGH! Help!
