Wow these dogs are just totally gorgeous.!.! If I had the room we would be getting 2 new dogs. I am totally in love with Cleo. And check out the puppies, I am in love.

Could someone explain to me why these are passed off as a breed other than German Shepherd? Identical. The " short haired" shiloh is no different than a German Shepherd. Think someone was going for some kinda rare breed money making scheme when they started?

Kennel of Origin--The Real History of the Shiloh Shepherds
Shilohs are way over the breed standard in height/weight of the GSD. They are said to be mixed with husky. They are not a GSD whatsoever.
There has been some problems with the breed founder and those breeding the shilohs:

Eh.. I will stick with German Shepherd Dogs... None of these non AKC recognized new breeds... in my opinion, not much better than a pekeapoo, or a labradoodle.. just another reason to overpopulate with mixed breeds...

BTW.. I have no hate for mixed breeds, I have owned and helped foster/rescue many of them!!! What I meant before I get hounded with BS is... it's giving people a reason to breed them with the intention of making money! Hope everyone understands what I am trying to say.

Tony is my 6th German Shepherd and I love the breed to death, but I gotta tell ya, I have seen these dogs in person and they are totally awesome. Now they are a lot mellower and Tony just overwhelms them with his self sure attitude. Tony isn't aggressive, he is just very out going, very sure of himself and he wants to play. I guess when your a 100 lb Shepherd your pretty sure of yourself. If I could, I would get one of these dogs, but really one is enough for me. I take Tony with me everywhere I go and 2 would just be to much in many situations.

I love my Cullen also,and I will stick to the GSD. We want more, but only if we move to a more rural area, or after Gizmo passes on!
