There is a guy up in Glenshaw who trained with Mike Ellis....he runs classes at a kennel -

Pgh just sucks for dog sports....period.....there is a good AKC trainer who is open to dogs who train protection sports in the South Park area at Excel - Deb is her name...if you want to start some ob training.....now the different trainers embrace different styles....so if you take a class and want to use force retrieves for example, you go with Michelle - if you want positive training, go with Deb....there are a couple of other clubs but ...always dynamics......where in Pgh are you?

Im seeing this , i googled even some "common" sports like tracking , and it turned up very little. Im in North Huntingdon about 15 mins from downtown Pitt. We have been looking for a OB trainer, But i won't take him to Petsmart for classes.. What is force retrieves?

I am over by Monroeville....go to Excel in South Park to Deb Cecotti.....there are some other clubs, but the club members end up taking turns "teaching" and it is luck of the draw....there is something in Irwin, but small dog oriented....for a GSD, I'd say go to Deb...she is a Collie/BC person, but you will do fine...there are some places to really stay away from too!
