Default Is K9 Pro Sports a good organization?

I'm wanting to train Maximus in personal protection and a friend suggested these guys. Im trying to decide between them and Shutzhund. I know Shutzhund is more sport and I'm wanting a more practical, real life type training which these guys are supposed to do.

Have you considered SDA? SDA is not as big as SchH but might be more readily available and more well established than the other protection venues, depending on where you live.

I live in Oklahoma. How do you get in contact with SDA or PSA?

For PSA, try getting in contact with one of the Midwest Region officials, see if they know of any clubs that do PSA in your area.

PSA Officials

If Darryl Richey doesn't respond to the email provided there, you can try some of the contacts off his business website.

I don't know how close you are to Texas but I know there is a club in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Khio Pham runs it. You can find his contact info here, under "Midwest"

In short, the answer to your question is no..

I would highly suggest looking into PSA. If Darryl doesn't respond, you can also try contacting Mic Foster at mfoster@petathleticclub.com. He is one of the Midwest Assistant Directors and even though he's in Ohio, he should be able to put you in touch with Darryl.

Where in Oklahoma are you located?

I'm located about 60 miles east of Oklahoma City. Also can you elaborate on why they are not good? Thanks!

Yes BritneyP, can you elaborate as to why they are not good? Also tell us how many K9Pro Sports events you have participated in to come to that conclusion?
