Very impressive. Her dog is relaxed and happy. And I really liked her tone of voice.
She does make me feel like a crybaby for complaining that it is too hot to work my dog, or that I'm too tired. Sheilah |

I agree......... get out that dumbbell and Havoc get ready!
There is a guy here in Spokane that is working on his Otch. He has had 7 strokes and cannot talk. His dog is also his service dog.

What an inspiration! An OTCH is quite an accomplishment.
And the guy who can't talk - that must be a heck of a bond if you have to do everything with signals. You've got to have a dog that watches you ALL the time. Kathy, we should have a competition to see whether Havoc or Khana can get their CDX first .. *L* .. I didn't show at ALL this year (MY fault, not hers) and she's defnitely rusty. But we did some dumbbell retrieves last night and she RACED out for them. Of course, it helped that she knew I had a pile of treats. Chows are not exactly stellar retrievers most of the time. Deejays_Owner, one thing I've realized after being on this site so long, if you want to have people look at something, how you write out the Subject line of the topic makes a HUGE difference on how many hit's it gets.
I personally hang out almost 100% in the 'Active Topics' part of the board, and with over 10 pages of that every day, and only the Subject lines listed, if it doesn't catch my eye, I don't open it. For me, putting something specific, like the 'OTCH' helps cause I know the obedience people all know what that means and how hard it is to get. If I'm too general in a subject, I've found it gets very few hits.
