Rally-o question
Could someone explain to me what a heel looks like in rally-o?? I can't play videos on my computer. Right now my girl walks beside me on a loose leash but it is in no way a "formal" heel.
thanks! thought i should add, i don't even know if it's a heel they need to do? Like how do they have to walk during the whole course? I hope this makes sense! |

To me the heeling is the same I use for Schutzhund, Dog Sport, AKC obedience, etc. For Rally I can get away with the dog being "flat" (not as focused, precise, or as intense as for Schutzhund).

Nikon (hasn't competed in Rally yet but trained through RE and has done the BH and FO, heeling is heeling)

I know this is an old thread, but Balto does not do a Schutzhund heel, but we can still score 98s and 99s. He pretty just walks alongside me and watches my feet for turns and my hands for hand cues. If he did have that heads-up close-in heel, we'd have a lot of 100s. Balto has his RAE and we never NQd.
