How long will this number take?
Oh, I just love "to follow" classes. I don't want to make my friend get up and go sit around for hours at obedience (now us obed nuts do it all the time), but she wouldn't be in to that.
There are 34 Utility dogs ahead of us. Does anyone have a guesstimation on how long it takes to put that number through the Utility ring?? |

Novice is 8 dogs per hour, Open is 7, and Utility is 6.
Are you coming to the St. Charles shows?

Daphne beat me to it! I have never seen a judge get through 10 dogs and hour in utility. And then they have to figure scores, do awards etc. BUT.... if some dogs do not show it will go faster. So with 34 dogs I would plan on 3 1/2 hours. That gives you time to set up and exercise your dog and maybe browse a while.

Thank you all for the numbers. That helps me make a plan.
Yes, we plan to go to St. Charles shows. Looks like the temps may be better than the last couple of years at this show. Yay. Hotel reserved for Fri and Sat. Looking forward to an outing in the middle of winter cabin fever. |
