Does anybody have a good website for purchasing obedience jumps? I saw some PVC ones on J&J that looked good. Only problem was that they caution against leaving in a hot car because they'll warp (125 degrees.) In Tucson in the summer, it's common to have temps that high inside of a car. I'm wondering if the warp factor is "for real" or should I be looking at wooden jumps. I'd like something portable for training in the parks - that's why PVC really appealed to me.

I bought the J&J but I haven't given them a hot car test. They are very portable for training in parks as they break down and aren't too heavy. I bring mine in when done. Kinda a hassle, but wouldn't want to ruin them.
I have some home made wood ones at home but they are too heavy to haul around. A friend of mine used much lighter wood and she does haul hers. We use these at the club, but they are some plastic and heavy. Acme Machine Co:Products Here's some wood High Jump - Dog obedience equipment Broad jump - Dog obedience equipment Bar jump - Dog obedience equipment Wood so heavy and bulky though for "on the road" training. |
