Sent: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 11:52 PM Subject: PLEASE READ! GSD NEEDS HOME NOW! Fremont, OH ~EMERGENCY SITUATION!~ This Purebred Shepherd will be killed tomorrow because he will not tolerate other dogs/cats. He loves people and is very good with adults and children. But he absolutely can not be around other animals. He attacked his families' neighbor dog (a little purebred). The dog lived, but required stitches. Coda's owners have to place him with someone else or have him euthanized immediately. Coda is fully vetted and hosuebroken. Is there anyone out there who has a fenced in yard or who could always keep Coda on a leash at all times who has no other dogs/cats? He is fabulous with people, and that is why it seems horrible to kill him tomorrow morning. This has ruined my Christmas. I am sick. Please write BARB READ THIS in subject line when you email me back if you have any ideas. Thanks, Barb 419-334-2773 Barbara McGrady Society for the Protection of Animals, Inc. P.O. Why aren't the owners able to walk him on a leash or keep him fenced in? Has he been seized by AC for the bite incident? Or are the owners going to euth him?

I was able to convince the people who own Coda to not have him euthanized until December 26th.
That gives me Christmas Day to do everything I can to save his life. Won't be easy, I know. Most are busy with their families. But just maybe there is someone out there who doesn't really have a family. Who doesn't really have anyone to share a Holiday meal with. If you have a securely fenced-in yard or are the sort of person who would NEVER, EVER allow a dog to run free... If you can understand that Coda is very loving with people... but can not be set up to fail by allowing him around other dogs, and can offer Coda a loving, protective home, PLEASE LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY.
