So I've been a lurker here for a while since having our little human baby last May and it's with a heavy heart that I'm having to repost our girl Sasha.

She is going after our other females with a renewed vengeance and we simply can't risk our sons safety especially now that he's mobile and curious. We did have her amputation surgery done over a year ago and she's doing beautifully! She's still super active and happy to do everything she loved before. She needs to be the only animal in her home though! She's great with kids and loves to play. She can be nervous of some new people but if her handler is confident she loves everyone she meets. She'll definitely feed off any nervousness the people have. She can be leash reactive to other dogs but is easily manageable.

We've been in touch with some of the local rescues and they're doing their best to help. We are having to place her asap and are having an adoption evaluation done at the Boulder Humane Society next weekend to see if they have a foster for her.

Any leads or interest please let me know...we're heartbroken but living in a kennel half her life is driving her crazy. I know this is brief but any questions just let me know...

I am sorry you have to do this. The longer you can hold onto her, the greater her chance of getting adopted. Rescues always have a waiting list for dogs needing foster homes. They can't make room open up any faster than it does. Be sure to have her courtesy posted on as many rescue sites as possible. Meanwhile, crate and rotate, to keep everyone safe.

Adopted!

We found a great new home for our Sasha girl and it was truly an answer to our prayers! She'll be spoiled rotten and everyone is much happier, including Sasha :)

I just now saw this thread! I'm sorry you had to give Sasha up, but glad that you found a great home for her. I often look at the GSROR website, I wish I could take on another dog right now. Wishing you the best for you and your family!
