NE Philadelphia, PA - Chani, 2 yr old female B&T

Chani is an approximately 2 year old female GSD. Spayed and UTD on shots. She was adopted almost exactly a year ago and sadly, her Mom passed away suddenly a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, the family is unable to care for her and needs to rehome her.

She has received lots of training and listens really well. Walks good on leash but can be a little jumpy when cars go by. Housebroken and crate trained. Energetic and will steal things in the house for attention but doesn't chew them and drops immediately.

She is good with kids and some dogs. Owner says no cats.

Very sweet temperament but does alert when people come to the house.

She's actually on the short side, approximately 24". She's probably around 80lbs right now but could really lose 15lbs or so.

my friend kerry is interested and will be emailing you soon. kerry is very sweet, kind, and an animal lover. she had a dog die recently :-\ but is very interested in chani.

I sent this to one of my obedience clients, I think she e-mailed you today. She'd be a great home, if Chani would tolerate her energetic 9 month old male.

Chani was adopted but unfortunately things did not work out with the other resident dog. They had met previously and done really well together but the other dog (a small female yorkiepoo) did not adjust to having Chani in the home and stopped eating.

She's now in foster care with me. She needs to easily lose 20lbs (was weighed at 95lbs in Dec) and we are working on it. She can be reactive to other dogs on leash but is friendly when she meets them. Working on the cats; she is curious and sniffs and just barks at them if they are staring at her. No aggression but needs better manners. Unfortunately, her previous owner seems to have rewarded barking.

Local adopters only, please (so within an hour of NE Philadelphia).
