Pleasant Hill, CA - Sydnee -4 YO Female GSD needs good home
 

I have had Sydnee Sue since she was 18 months old.

She is an amazing dog. But due to my new contract with my team, i will be away from home a lot. Sydnee needs to find a new home in the next few months. im hoping for an experienced GSD owner/family.

I really have no choice in keeping her :( and love her way too much to board her for long periods of time.

I think I would contact CA GSD rescues and see if they can either
A. Courtesy post her
B. Allow you to foster her while she is listed on their site - that would be the best thing

She would need to be spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm, tick test, etc, but then you would have more exposure, get help with screening and your girl SHOULD have a lifetime place to go if something happens again. Check rescue policies before contacting regarding screening and commitment. For example, Westside GSD Rescue allows people to show pictures of their living space in lieu of a home visit if they are from out of town. That means I could take pictures of the nicest home in my area and use that...

I would love to have her. I live in Arkansas :( All of the dogs needing homes are always far from me. But I'm still looking 😄

If you are in Arkansas there should be plenty of dogs in need of homes unfortunately. I am betting a lot aren't even listed on the shelter sites or petfinder because the shelters have so many dogs.

Yes you are correct they aren't usually listed. A lot get pulled for GSD rescue to another state. But we have a dog we are looking at now in Kansas. I really hope it works out and we can get her she seems perfect for us.

She's a big, beautiful girl! I wish I could take her but we already have several cats and a large GSD in a townhome.

You may also want to give your information to dog trainers in your area. Our trainer occasionally gives announcements for his customers who cannot keep their dogs. There are a few members that are not online right now from the Bay area, keep checking maybe they will come on and help with other resources.

My neighbor's (elderly lady but active) GSD died last year at age 15. She's looking for another GSD, something that has passed the puppy stage and she's also partial to females. She lives in San Diego, has a big yard and lives a stones throw from a very nice off leash park.
