Boston Metro PB Male Needs Rescue - Epileptic

Hi All,

This is my first post so please be patient. I work with a rescue in the DC/Baltimore metro area and a dog in Boston Metro area has come to our attention.

Owner needs to surrender to rescue or have rescue assistance in placing dog into good home. Dog is epileptic, and seizures are apx once every 6 weeks. Dog is GOOD with kids, cats and other dogs. Just a very sad family situation. He is a spectacular Black and Tan.

I have called GSRNE. Any other resources would be most appreciated.

I would say that GSRNE is the best place to try for this dog.

German Shepherd Rescue of New England Inc for other posters who have never been on their site.

I did send an email to someone with the group to let them know about the post here.

Poor dog.

Guardian is the grandma and has taken "custody" of two human toddlers and this GSD, everyone loves the dog but he is too much for her to care for with the little babies.

Rocco from Massachusetts has an adoption pending! A wonderful adopter in Elkton, MD, who has a huge place in her heart for special needs GSDs. Rocco will have 3 fenced acres, 2 GSD siblings a Maine Coon Cat, Two Horses and a Mom that is prepared to get his vetting needs addressed.

Wish Rocco the best for his meet up next weekend!
