Has had some obedience training while here, sits, walks on leash, comes when called off leash.
Crate trained, knows to go into it as soon as she comes in.
Does better inside, in a crate, than outside kennel.
NOT good with cats or small animals, prey drive comes out, she will stop on command and return to handler though.
Was turned in as dog aggressive, but we have seen no signs of that. She actually prefers to eat out of food bowls after everyone else is done. May not do well in house with an aggressive dog since she is so meek.
Very laid back, takes awhile for her to trust. Once she does though she wants to be a lap dog. She loves attention.
Obeys slightest correction. This is not a dog who can handle harsh training. Someone at prison and/or another rescue group used an e-collar on her improperly and it did some damage. Think they wanted her to be a protection dog, which she is not. Has a natural alert bark, but will let anyone in once she is given the OK command.
Has herding/working lines and show lines. Only has pet temperament though. She has not passed our herding tests and washed out of the VA prison system.
Does well on a raw diet, but is not picky at all and can be switched back to high quality kibble without a problem.
