Default Jonesboro, GA - "Heidi"/F/4yo/Hit By Car

Here is Heidi's petfinder page:

Petfinder Adoptable Dog | German Shepherd Dog | Jonesboro, GA | Heidi

Heidi is a sweet girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was picked up as a stray after being hit by a car. A CCHS member saw poor Heidi suffering from her injuries and had to help her. She has had her leg fixed and now she is the picture of health.

From her overall condition, it would seem Heidi had not been properly cared for in some time. Heidi has an estimated birthday of March 2007. As for her temperament, she is super friendly with everyone and affectionate with those she knows.

Heidi would do best in a home with no other pets and definitely NO CATS.

Heidi is fairly clean in her kennel so we think she may be housebroken or easily trained. She rides well and loves to walk. We prefer previous German Shepherd experience but require prior large dog history. Special adoption fee's apply.

We apologize, but we do not accept applications more than a 1 hour drive from Jonesboro, GA.

They are a no-kill shelter. I didn't think that it would be considered urgent.

Their animal services/pound, most certainly, but I didn't know about the humane society being.....here's from their 'about us' section on their website:

"The Clayton County Humane Society is a "no-kill" animal rescue facility, operating in the southern metro-Atlanta area. We provide a loving, caring environment to our animals until permanent placement in adoptive homes can be achieved. NO ANIMAL IS EVER EUTHANIZED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. While in our care, animals are provided with shelter, nutritious food, medical care for illness and injury, preventative vaccinations, and all animals are sterilized prior to adoption."

EDIT: I could be wrong, but I just didn't want to put dogs up that would be safe (just hoping for a loving forever home) if they weren't adopted immediately, as opposed to others that may be in a life or death situation. If that's the case with these, though, then I will definitely ask for them to be moved to urgent!

Yup! No-kill. It's seperate from the animal services (they're at the humane society, which I looked into, and is indeed no kill!) Happiness. Hope this pretty girl gets a great home She's GORGEOUS! And looks like such a sweet girl
