Here is Danny's petfinder page:
http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/20750019 ![]() Meet Danny a sable male that was a stray in Seffner significantly underweight, dehydrated, flea and worm infested. He was picked up off the side of the road and foster for several weeks by a family with GSD’s that wanted to help but could not afford to keep him themselves. These photos are after a couple weeks of multiple meals a day so you can only image what he looked like before. He has lots of missing fur from chewing on himself due to the fleas, has muscle wasting from the severe malnutrition, had no microchip or collar and was found in a rural area that is mostly groves and pastures where no one recognized him or knew of anyone in that area with a GSD. We are getting more and more dogs in rural areas where irresponsible owners will take and dump their dogs. He is now here in rescue to get the rest of his vet work done to make him ready for adoption. He does show some food aggression which is not unusual with a dog that has been severely malnourished as they are always afraid that is the last thing they will get. As he improves with his 3 meals a day and that should decrease. He loves to play with toys and will play fetch but after 2 or 3 times he has to lay down and rest. He likes the wading pool and always has toys close to him. He needs a home that will continue his feeding routine for several months and can with exercise and time help him rebuild his muscles. I would recommend no young children.

Danny would benefit from some hydrotherapy, especially since he likes the water! What a dear boy, he looks really sweet. (Don't think he's a sable though, but his coat is in such bad shape it's hard to tell......)

Yeah - I was going to take that part out, but I just copied and pasted it from the site. Poor guy! I love to post these guys and try and get them out there to the GSD community...but at the same time it makes me sad and makes me want to scoop them all up!
