My townhouse doesn't allow dogs (esp when they consider GSD as aggressive dog), I need to find a new home for my lovely boy asap.
My GSD is now at boarding but I can't afford boarding him everyday, and I am taking him to the rescue tomorrow. Please help.. He's only 2 years old and he's been a very good boy. We are located at Temple City, CA. |

chrissyho the situation in rescue is dire these days. your post was moved by moderators here to non-urgent, since the only dogs who qualify for the urgent section of the rescue board are those in kill shelters. i would have to say that expecting to find anyone interested in adopting your dog before "tomorrow" when you have to take him to the "rescue" (which i'm thinking you probably mean to the shelter or pound), is not realistic. i do want to warn you however that there are very bad people trolling these boards and craigslist and the like, to find animals to sell for research or to use as bait dogs for fighting rings, or worse. they are very crafty, often have good stories and sound legit. i urge you to check out anyone who comes out of the blue quickly who wants to take your boy. there are worse things than death out there. please don't do that to a two year old who's been a very good boy. there is no quick, easy answer to rehome a dog right now. this is the reality of the situation. i'm sorry. especially for your "lovely" boy, whose whole life is going to change thru no fault of his own. bless your heart bud.

If it's a rescue and not a pound/shelter where they put animals to sleep, it may not be a bad option. If it's a good rescue...they'll alter and find him a responsible home. That would be a better bet for the dog than giving him to the 1st person to come along on Craigslist anyway.
