This wonderful boy has been in foster care while he successfully completed heartworm treatment. Now fully healthy and active. He is ready for a permanent cat-free home. Roscoe needs people familiar with the breed who will maintain his monthly heartworm preventative and who are prepared for the additional expense required to properly care for a dog of his size (approximately 110 pounds). In spite of his size, Roscoe prefers being an inside dog; he is fully house-trained and crate trained. He walks fairly well on a leash, but could use additional training not to lunge towards squirrels or cats. He gets along well with dogs and children and is a loving, gentle giant. Roscoe is a neutered male estimated to be about 4 years old. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control adoption policies and fees apply.
