Petfinder Adoptable Dog | German Shepherd Dog | Houston, TX | Sherman ![]() ![]() Hi My name is Sherman....... Hi! I am quickly growing into my feet and ears but am still very much a puppy. There is just so much to learn in between playing, eating, and sleeping! Here are some of the rules that I know so far: 1. Crates are nice cozy places to eat and hang out. I sleep in mine all night without a peep. 2. Even if it takes a week, all sqeekersu MUST be removed from toys. Toys are for chewing on. Other things are not for chewing and I might forget if I don't have toys. 3. Only do your business outside. I learned that in one day! 4. Big dogs will eventually play if you keep pestering them. Sometimes they will even play tug of war if you stick a toy in their face, yes! 5. Cuddle as much as you can, whenever you can, any way you can. Laps are very good for cuddling. 6. "Sit", "down", "wait", and "kennel up" mean just what they sound like. 7. You might hear the words "leave it" if you go near the weird animal called a cat. (Sheesh, all I want to do is get it to play with me.) 8. When you take your person for a walk get them to stay beside you. Sometimes they forget but they love walks, so be patient. 9. Try your hardest to get your people to take you to obedience training and to work with you regularly. You will love them for it and be a happier puppy. People say I'm not a pure German Shepherd because I have a white tip on my tail and my body is long. Oh, well, I don't care because I am lovable and full of loyalty just like the rest of the dogs in my foster home and so far in my life everybody just loves me. When I got to the shelter the people there loved me so much they kept me away from "the back rooms" and called my foster mom. She went to get me the same day and because of that I am very healthy. Being cute has it's advantages.ion. Last edited by MaggieRoseLee; 03-08-2011 at 04:44 PM. |
