|YORCHI||Daisy is the first GSD I've ever had and I am starting to witness all of this firsthand now. I'm super excited about her and now that she's 5 months old I think it's time to start her on some formal training. If she does really well I'll give PP training a shot and see if she likes it and responds well.|

German shepherd - A "Natural" guard dog
The GSD is just an amazing breed, 1 of my favorite things about them is most of them are natural guard dogs without training, this is thanks to the fact they were bred to guard their sheep from predators along with herding them. Thats what separates the GSD from other farm breeds.. some were bred to guard the livestock, others to herd, but the GSD was bred to do both of those. Thats why if you notice they can be gentle with a child 1 second, then the next be ready to take on an intruder.. they have the ability to be gentle with their flock or family, the raw power and courage to take on a predator or intruder, and the intelligence to know the difference.
