Pax8 Kaiju is West German working line and he is a coatie. So it does happen. Can't say anything for the pedigree though, sorry.

lhczth Yes, long coats happen in working lines. It is a recessive gene found throughout the breed.

There are too many unknowns in that pedigree for me to say what sort of dog to expect.

Yoshi Does anyone have some input?

Yoshi Oh she's very pretty GatorDog.

But yeah, I am curious about the health and temperaments that can happen with these pups. Although I now don't put too much faith into pedigrees anymore, it's more about the individual dog.

GatorDog Can't speak for the pedigree, but long coats do happen in working lines

Good Breeding? Long Coat?

Can anyone tell me what kind of dogs will come from this breeding?

Line-breeding for the progency of Afro von den Aero and Regalhaus Flame

I saw this on Facebook the other day and one of the puppies was just simply adorable. I think he was a long coat actually. I didn't think long coats really happened in working lines.
