McWeagle Lol, we have exactly the same situation! Nox is Frankie's little shadow. It's super cute. And she sometimes wants her alone time and he just won't leave her alone. Just keeps going back at her while she tries to ignore him. And, for whatever reason, she won't tell him off about it. He's VERY determined, so we have to redirect a bunch of times before he leaves her alone. We're trying to teach him a "leave Frankie alone now" command, but it's a work in progress.

Here's a shot of them together. Nox was about 9 weeks old at the time. He's in the exact same position as Frankie - her little shadow.

meli_ssa4 Rylee is definitely like that, she likes to play with him all the time. And if I try to train with him and take him out of the house without her she will sit at the door and wait. She won't do anything else until we return or let her out. But sometimes she just wants to be left alone when he keeps picking at her while she is trying to just lay down and rest. Then we have to step in and remove/redirect him away from her. That isn't very often though.

He watches her do stuff and then will do the same thing, it is really cute to watch.

marshies Hello from Toronto!
Adorable puppy! I would be all over that pup if I ever saw him in the streets.

McWeagle I'm kind of in the same boat. We have a 5.5 year old female and got a puppy 4 weeks ago. He's just over 12 weeks now. It's definitely a challenge with 2 dogs! The older dog is teaching him so much and she's always happy to play with him, which keeps him out of our hair for a while! But she's a little jealous of all the "extras" he gets as a puppy (time & treats) and it's hard to find a spot for puppy training without Frankie getting involved too.

meli_ssa4 Thanks for all the welcomes. Didn't realize so many Canadians were on here.

I knew getting a second dog was going to be hard work, but wow. I don't think I have sat down since I got the pup back in May. We didn't have Rylee as a puppy so the puppy stage stuff is all new to us. She was 6months old already and partially trained by the breeder.
