You want to feed more than just backs IMO. You need a balance of RMBs, muscle meat and organ meat.

Environmental allergies are far more common than food allergies. That being said, much of the immune system is in the digestive tract, and a healthy dog is less likely to have allergy issues.
I have recently switched my itchy dog over to raw plus FEEDSentials, Shemp-Oil and Sunday Sundae, and I'm seeing some positive results. It's too soon to say her issues are fixed because they come and go, but things are looking good so far.

I have noticed a marked reduction in a dog scratching itself because of a shift in diet to raw...I'd certainly try alternatives other than prednisone first.
Be considerate of making too many changes as it will be easier to hone in on the "cure" using less variables.

Perfectly Raw Chicken backs
Hey guys Im new here and I am switching my 3 1/2 year old gsd to raw food. We've been struggling to get his so called allergies under control by trying many different kinds of kibble and giving him drugs like prednisone. I think his problems could be helped by switching to raw food. I just started today and bought the brand Perfectly Raw chicken backs. This brand seemed like a good deal.
I just want to know if feeding him this by itself is a good start and if this is a quality brand food?
Also has anyone else here experienced allergies and sore joints being cured by switching to raw food?
