I talked to the breeder today. She is concerned and was very helpful. I couldn't ask for anything more. I do feel supported in this. I also talked to my friend, he breeds a different dog breed, but I received the same information from him. It is always comforting to get the same information from different people. It does seem like something that can be worked with. Thank you jocoyn. I don't feel like all is doom and gloom anymore.
It does matter where the dog comes from. I did not have this support from the BYB. I'm very happy I found a good reputable breeder.

Sorry. They are probably something you can work with but no way to deny that hip is bad; there is already remodeling of the socket. Positioning may be an issue due to the hip itself being out of the socket.
It looks like signs of arthritis on the right elbow but that may / may not have any clinical implications. We have DJD1 on both and even a vet rehab person has no concerns about the elbows. I don't have enough savvy to read any more than osteophytes on the aconeal ridge.....

|trcy||Riley was from what some may call a BYB and this one is from a reputable breeder. I guess it doesn't matter to much in the end.|

|GatorDog||I don't think the positioning is all that horrible, considering the way the left hip looks. I definitely don't think different positioning would change this diagnosis. Sorry =/|

Just had hips and elboz done. The Vet says they are bad. :(
I was told he has left hip dysplasia and bilateral elbow dysplasia. The elbows don't look great. I see the left hip doesn't look great. The breeder said the position for the hip xray is bad. I was told they aren't good at reading elbow xrays.
Here they are: The quality isn't great. I had to take a picture of an actual; xray. They don't do digital ones there.
The dog is 13 months old. The vet said clinically he moves very well. He is limping on his front left leg due to pano. The vet also said, "I'm sorry. You got a lemon." My dog is not a lemon. No matter what he is loved and I will do the best I can for him. I really wasn't expecting bad xrays though. I was floored. They vet said he would not even bother sending them in. I was never planning on breeding him, but I was hoping for a healthy dog with good joints.
Hip: (I can see the position isn't perfect. The vet says it's textbook)
