That's my plan! But I know it will be hard to crate her when I'm home. But I also know she needs to get used to it!!

And I think the breeder does intro the crate, but I haven't asked directly. She does all sorts of socializing so it's got to be part of it...I'll have to ask.

blackshep Make the crate a great place to be. Feed your pup in there, give a special treat every time.

Took my pup a while to warm up to the crate, but she's great now.

As for a secure outdoor kennel, it's not my preference for that young a pup, especially in summer months, unsupervised

I do not have a garage, but my basement may work for this. That's a good idea!

lauren43 I'm just looking for ideas to keep her happy while I'm away. She doesn't come home until August lol!

pyratemom Have you tried giving her treats like frozen kongs in her crate? It keeps them busy for a long time and they usually go to sleep after all that work getting the stuff out of the kong. Also limiting the amount of water about an hour before crating might help keep the need to pee down to a minimum.

lauren43 I could put her in a big crate at night so if she really can't hold she will have room to go...

I just want her to like her crate.
