Hello!... waiting to bring our puppy home
Hi all! We're currently waiting to bring out new GSD puppy home at the end of August. We can't wait. We're first time GSD owners, but definitely not new to dogs. We recently lost our Newfoundland to cancer, and realized soon after we could not live without a dog in our home. We started searching for a GSD last year, but when our newf was diagnosed we held off to let him spend his last time with us in peace.
Between my husband and I, we've have several great family dogs (our intention with this puppy as well). Malamute, Springer, Australian Shepherd, GSD/Lab mix (more GSD in temperament than Lab), Newfoundland, and yes... even a pug.
This will be the very first time we'll only have one dog in the home! Although, we've always enjoyed watching the 'old dog' teach the 'puppy'. It will definitely be different.
