Pax8 Unless you teach them how to walk properly on leash, any dog will pull the handler. How you teach them to walk is mainly personal preference. Some people just don't want tension in the leash, others (like me) just want the dog to walk within a couple feet of their left hand side, and others will require a strict heel. They should be taught how to walk as it is basic manners and helpful in handling your dog in public.

Walking with a leash on

Rookie future dog owner here....
I just came across this video on youtube. Is it normal for GDSs to pull like this?
Or should this dog be trained to not walk ahead of the handler? I have read conflicting information on the web, so that's why I was wondering...
