Cheerful1 His gums are pink. His grab/bite has been weak ("dropsies"). He gets an annual Lyme vaccine.

NancyJ Look at his gums. Are they pale? Only you know the relative amount of tiredness. I know we are having a heat wave right now but he is getting to the age where stuff starts going wrong. Hemangiosarcoma is, of course, one of the concerns and pale gums would give you insight into that.

Sudden lethargy

Joey will be 9 in November.

He normally has a lot of energy. Yesterday he became very lethargic; doesn't run as fast as usual; runny nose; sleeping more. His appetite is great.

We've had him long enough to know he's not himself. He has an appointment with the vet next week for regular bloodwork. Should we bring him in sooner?
