Mikelia I do mine once, maybe twice a year. I see the bottles so infrequently so I don't even remember what I use honestly. I also use a leather cleaner, comes in a foam, if they are really dirty. I must be doing something right as I have one leash that is 20 years old and still as good as new, I love that leash.

hunterisgreat I use my own skin/hand oil/sweat/blood.

DJEtzel I condition collars and necessary. Usually about once per month of wear. I don't condition leashes, but they would probably last longer if I did. I use biothane more than anything nowadays.

blackshep You don't actually want to over condition leather goods, especially if they have stitching.

It's best to wipe them clean with a damp cloth and /or a leather cleaner if they get really dirty. Condition every now and then, but not all the time

The best products I find for my horses bridles is the Passier Lederbalsam and cleaner.

qbchottu But of course!

How else would I be able to tolerate leather conditioning?!

Do you drink a Dos Equis while conditioning your leather?

qbchottu I should but I don't regularly - when I do, I use Leather New

Mister C I condition all my leather products but not as often as I probably should. For leashes I clean with Murphy's oil soap and then condition with Lexol. My last dog's leather leash lasted 15 years with such treatment and we walked in all weather.

wolfstraum I run leather new over them from time to time....if something gets really wet or dirty, I clean with murphy's oil soap then condition with Black Rock Conditioner....also a long time horse person, so I use the same methods I did on horse stuff....

you can get the more common stuff in a farm and feed store, or horse supply store or on line easily

blackshep I do when I first get them, you really should on occasion as it acts as a water barrier.

I have horses, so I use my tack cleaning products. You can find something suitable at a tack shop
