Maxil we bought it from a restaurant , its grilled.
she looks fine but I am not sure if there is anything that will happen to her in the next 24 hours

AnyaGSD raw or cooked bones? raw is fine, great even. cooked can be a HUGE issue. Make sure it has a tight lid, she will continue to go for the trash can.

wolfstraum your puppy may need to be wormed....I do know the level and quality of vet care in Cairo is not what people here are used to....way way way different!!!! I don't know Cairo really well...but a little.....I was there a few months ago visiting a friend who is an American equine veterinarian....

Are you near Sakkara? There is an equine hospital there and the one owner is a vet that trained here in the States for 4 years and does have some knowledge of dogs....I have heard poor things about the Maadi clinic from people I know in Cairo....

This puppy could easily have these symptoms from roundworms or coccicidia or giardia - and can just as easily dehydrate and die from these as from parvo.....the equine vets may have appropriate medicine for the parasites, but you need to have a stool sample examined first

Good luck!

wyoung2153 When she lays down.. she's telling you she's tired.. probably bursts of energy then tires out then bursts of energy.. when she's tired let her rest and play more later

Also for hydration I've started with broth then slowly added water to it.. I have also done gatorade and water or pedialite... not sure what you have there.. but something with electrolytes will help too. For diarrhea pumpkin works very well and shouldnt upset the tummy. Usually did rice mixed with pumpkin.

Maxil she plays with me alot but then she lays down , should I stop playing and keep her calm and at rest or?

Gretchen You will want to keep her hydrated, can you offer some broth instead of water? Do you have any white rice you can cook very soft and add some boiled chicken and broth? Give a 1:1 ratio of rice to chicken or whatever other boiled meat protein is available. If no white rice available then pasta will do. Keep her on a bland diet until her stomach heals. This should usually take 2-3 days, then slowly add her regular diet.

I have also given small amounts of cottage cheese and rice when my dog had diarrhea. I'm not sure what foods you have available in Egypt.

Can you bring a stool sample to the vet and check for other parasites?

also if the temp is 39C = 102.2F which is the normal range for a dog
The normal body temperature for a dog falls within the range of 100F to 102.5F (about 38C to 39.2C).

Maxil I just woke up , she is playing as if she never played before , she doesn't eat much , only chicken and what surrounds it from vegetables , but she has a huge sum of energy , she doesn't vomit and no diharriah till now , I am not sure if her tummy just hurts or not , but the doctor said she isn't infected with parvo, btw I cleaned after my old puppy , and my whole backyard is cleaned with a medicine the vet gave me .

so right now she only doesn't eat much and probably diharria , but plays and no vomit (thank god) , I still don't know what's with her

huntergreen yes, all you do is go to the vet.

Lilie I'm sorry, you had a pup that died from parvo less than a month from when you brought home your new pup. You really need to take this pup to the clinic to increase it's chances of survival.
