glowingtoadfly I'm still trying to get out of bed for morning walkies so I can lose the quit weight. Although my skin is very happy.

SashasDaddy I quit after smoking pretty heavily for awhile. Did it cold turkey. It's definitely rough, but after five days it's all mental. Your physical addiction to the drug is gone at five days.

If I can do it, anyone can.

That worked for my husband at the age of 45. And he quit that day. I don't know what 4X CABG was and, thankfully, he caught it quick and had no heart damage but does have stents.......

He had smoked heavily for years. Even so, did have a second small heart attack at 51.....once again no heart damage ....but it is always on our minds. Thankfully the left coronary artery is clear as are his carotids but smoking was surely a factor.
