Yeah that's what I meant. Same with russian. Katya and Katja, Julia and Yulia, Jäger and Yaeger, all pronounced the same lol

Liesje They're not necessarily interchangeable, but the German "j" makes our "y" sound so in the USA, the "y" is often used.

I like Yurek (Jurek) and Yello.

hunterisgreat Thanks everyone. Decision isn't mine, but yuri, yago, and a few others will well received. Also, I figure any German J name is fair game since j/y are often interchangeable.
