As I'm currently switching he loves Fromm and now he eats the full 1/2 cup. And I always add a little bit of cooked chicken, raw beef, or raw turkey.
Usually it'll say on the bag how much to feed. You can always go by that and sometimes you either need to feed less, or more. It depends on the dog too.
Hope that helps!

The amount you feed depends greatly on what type of food your dog is eating.
My 30lb (13.6kg) Kesshond gets approximately 2/3lb (0.3kg) of food every day - she is currently being fed a raw diet. When she was on Orijen (kibble), she fluctuated between 3/4 and 1 1/4 cup each day. Throughout her life, she has been on other kibbles as well, and she needed different amounts of each to stay at a reasonable weight.
A good rule of thumb that I've used for kibble is to start out a little lower than what the recommended daily amount is on the package, and depending on what body condition your dog is at, adjust the daily amount accordingly.
Feeding your puppy at least twice a day is necessary, and I know many people recommend/encourage feeding pups 3-4 times a day. (decreasing meal frequency as they get older.)

recommended food amounts?
How much food should you feed your puppy, and how often?
