Traveler's Mom Yes, can you believe that??? That's what the guy said. When I made a big face, he said "People eat anything". I guess he knows. This city girl couldn't get out of there fast enough- they had heads of lamb and all sorts of stuff not found at Publix.

I don't generally shop there but they had lamb shanks I wanted to get for Traveler. He's on limited diet- beef and lamb.

Jax08 NOT intestines. Stomach. Big difference. Stores will not carry green tripe. It's illegal because it is is not fit for human consumption.

People eat intestines??? Gross!

Cow intestines???

I was at a Western Market the other day. I was hoping they carried green tripe which they don't but I saw they had frozen intestines. I asked the butcher about them and he said lots of folks eat them.

I was wondering if they are good for my dog. I couldn't really see what they looked like as the package was frosted over but I think they were, um, full of "stuff".

What do you guys think?
