Same here I get my girl on Monday. I will be putting her on Fromm LBP. She's currently on solid gold but I feel calcium too high. Stick to under 1.5%. Anything higher can cause too fast growth which can lead to bone and joint issues.

I am in the same stage of puppy prep
I don't know much about Merrick, since it's not available where I am, but is Fromm available where you are? It seems like the best brand, IMHO. Just more stuff to look into!

So, my puppy comes home next week, and I've been trying to do some research on what to feed him. The breeder feeds bil-jac to puppies and whelping females, but transitions to raw/kibble mix. I don't know if I'm ready for the commitment to feed raw just yet. I've been reading that Merrick has too high of a calcium level in the foods, at somewhere around 2.5%. I've tried to read why this is a bad thing and I can't really find the info I'm looking for. Is this so high that feeding Merrick would be a bad idea? I've been really pleased with the brand so far, it helped cure my other dog's Demodex. I'd appreciate any feedback I could get on this.
