I dip a gauze square in the solution and then gently clean. The 2x2 gauze squares in the first-aid aisle are very inexpensive and are just the right size for ear cleaning. They're soft too. That was another vet suggestion (better than a paper towel or cotton).

The Organic Bragg's (or other organic brands) contains the "Mother Tincture" (you'll see it floating around) which carries the medicinal properties of ACV (store bought ACV is clear and does not have this), just in case there is bacteria/yeast problems, etc. Regular use of this mix can also help some dogs' with chronic ear infections.
You will want to use distilled or purified water to mix with the ACV if your water supply is treated in any way (fluoride/water softener etc).

My vet recommends the 50/50 mix as Magwart suggested.

Cleaning ears

Does anyone use apple cider vinegar to clean their dogs ears? If so how much water do you add to it to dilute it? I just want to use it to wipe out Gunners ears.
Thanks!!
