|Stassi||She should be fine. We were feeding Stassi around 6-7 cups a day at 9mo and she was a little over 70lbs but she is a large female. When she was 4months she had diarrhea for almost 2 weeks straight. She lost some weight but rebounded quickly when she started feeling better. I would say your shep is fine based on the info you provided.|

|Sunflowers||And having diarrhea would definitely reduce the weight, as well. They get dehydrated.|

|Harry and Lola||58 pounds (26kilos) is an excellent weight for a 9mo GSD bitch, at this age female GSD’s generally stop growing in height by 8mo and may gain up to 1cm in height by 12-15 months of age. Considering the average adult female at 18mo is between 58 to 61 pounds, I would say her weight is brilliant and as someone indicated, they do tend to lose weight during the warmer weather, even if you are doing the same amount of exercise.|

Her activity hasn't increased though. We still walk and play as much as we did when it was cooler.

|Freddy||It is but many dogs lose a couple of pounds when the weather warms and they are more active.|

I took Lola in today because she has diarrhea on our walks and sometimes at home. Not always, but often enough for me to be a little concerned. She tested negative for parasites and they put . But I'm curious about her weight now.
May 3rd I took her in just to get her weighed, because I was curious. She was 58.9 pounds. Today she was 58.2. I know it's not a huge weight loss, but I figured as a 9 month old she would be gaining weight. She eats Merrick chicken and sweet potato grain free. I feed her 3 times a day (4 1/2-5 cups total) plus treats. So I know she eats plenty.
Is it typical not to gain any weight in a month during this stage?
