Moriah I have a 16 week old puppy that is dog aggressive. Someone on the forum gave me the name of an excellent trainer. A man with 30 years Schutzhund experience. After one hour of instruction I came home with a clear plan on how to proceed. I had to find someone I could really trust. I have not asked forum members their opinion of the methods because some would not approve. I needed professional help and now I am following directions. My dog is much, much better. I was so worried and now I feel very hopeful.

Chip18 Post 8 has some links

And here post 12

First how they behave with there pack and how they behave in the outside are not automatically related!

This is in the first post but here it is directly:
Leerburg | Who Pets Your Puppy or Dog

It's how I trained my GSD with "people issues" how to behave in public. Move on and ignore, works for people and works for dogs, ignore them also. You have a puppy and he sounds to be out of control already??

Never allow him off leash in public again, until he is trained to behave! Hire a trainer go to a basic obedience course. No harm in seeking outside help when needed.

The dog/puppy should be on a loose leash by your side or to the rear. If he is not and is pulling on a tight will"never" achieve control! Start with the basics and work from there.

ZoeD1217 I'm going to go ahead and say you should really get a trainer. Someone who has experience with GSD. I have been having the same issues. My pup also is perfectly wonderful with my kids but turns into a jumping, lunging and barking beast out and about. We will be doing private lessons with Zoe. I've read 100 posts on here and it really seems like the kind of issue that can't be helped over the Internet. Or at least that's what I've learned.

In dire need of help.

We just got our first GSP about 4 weeks ago. She is 15 weeks old and in the last week has become really aggressive towards other people and other dogs. I had her outside with me while I took the trash out and a couple walked by pushing a stroller, our pup took off after them, hair raised on back and going after their feet, I got there just in time. Later that day we took her for a walk away from our house to see if that helped. She lunged and barked at every human and dog that passed us. We have 3 kids of our own who are 1,3, and 4 and all though she hasn't been aggressive towards them so far, I am worried about her being around them if she's getting this aggressive. Please someone give me advice, we love her so much and want to fix this before it gets worse. I dont know where else to go for help. Thanks in advance.
