middleofnowhere This disease is mean and nasty. I'm sorry Jaeger and you didn't have more time together but I am glad that the time you did have was so good.

Magwart My heart goes out to you. Letting him pass at his beloved cottage, with the person he adored, was the absolute kindest passage he could have had. He left the world surrounded by all that made him happy. His last days were full of joy. That's a very wonderful gift to give a dog at the end of life.

asja I am so sorry to hear about Jaeger, and I am sorry you did not have more time together before he passed away. I do know how you feel, I couldn't believe that my Boris could die from such a disease. I still think about him every day, and it has been six years.

Best wishes.

GatorBytes I am so sorry for your loss. But thankful he got to spend his last hrs where he loved and with who he loved and was loved by.

RIP beautiful doggie.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, forever dear

duenorth My beautiful, funny, crazy boy is gone. He was at our cottage - a place he loved - when it happened and we're thankful that the hours he laboured weren't many. He has left a hole that can never be filled. He was my first Schutzhund dog, my constant companion and the best cottage dog. I can't believe he's gone.
