Ohio has crappy winters, and rain the rest of the time, but we don't have alligators.
I heard alligators favorite meal is dog.
I wouldn't want to live around them.
Move to Florida and have a nice in ground pool, and find an alligator in it having the time of its life -- no thanks. Live in Ohio, and forget about the pool, because by the time you clean it and get it filled, frost sets in at night and it's too darned cold to swim outside anyway. Buy a membership at the Y and save money. No alligators there either.

I don't think we will be going to that end of the marsh any more.

Lovely girls! love the pink collar as well.

Ilka's leather collar with the studs and hearts is from CaliGirl on Etsy. The martingale style collars are Lola Limited Secret Powers collars. Lola Limited | Lola's Unique Dog Collars & Leashes LLC Leo's Lola collar is the "Egypt" pattern. Her regular collar is just a Petsmart collar.

Yes, that is an alligator. And yes, you'd better believe that we picked up the pace considerably, and practically sprinted the last half mile to the car. All the times we've been out there, this was our first encounter with one of these guys, and I fervently hope it is our last.
