Thank you! I guess that does make sense, I was thinking it was because he just thought "oh, it' just you again"! Phew

SuperG Well said....H&L

I'd rather be the one the dog respects....not the one the dog gets all jacked up over.

Sure my dog greets me when I walk in the door...but it is no big fireworks display...and the reason is simply : I taught the dog from day one when she was all bonkers on greeting me when I walked in the door..to not jump on me and do the whirling dervish routine...so I have a dog which greets me in such a manner now. Never once I have felt it displays a lack of "who's her favorite" actually I feel quite the opposite....just as H&L stated.." To me it sounds like he respects you and is behaving properly with the best manners."

My girl shows her "affection" for me in ways nobody else gets to experience nearly to the degree I do....

petite Fawn seemed to have too much distracted puppy brain to worry with me for the first few months. She started trying to give kisses about two weeks ago and is getting more affectionate. She's way more kissy, flat eared and leans into me in the morning or when she just wakes up from a nap!

carrieincolorado I admit to being jealous.. Chevelle is so so terribly attached that she cries up a storm when I leave and when I return (now that she is staying in her newly fenced yard) she jumps ALL OVER ME in a freaky panic and I end up with scratches and bites everywhere and it takes 3 or 4 minutes for her to calm down! It's stressful!!

When my kids come home from school, I'm happy to see them, but after they are home I don't get all excited if I see them coming in the same room I'm in. If that make sense.

Hehe, I think you should get all excited and jump up and down every time your kids enter the room :P they'll think mums gone mad!!
I think it is because we're with our pups all day long, plus we're the one who punishes them and shows them right from wrong (compared to others who give nothing but affection). I think we both have pretty good bonds with our pups I wish Finnick could meet Perseus!

I think you're right, Sarah, it's all part of the bond. Finding each others place.

vicky2200 I have had Ditto for almost 6 years and she still prefers a strangers attention to mine. She loves me. There is no doubt. There is just something about a stranger that gets her a little too excited. It can be insulting, but I try not to be offended.

Sarah~ I think it's all part of bonding, getting used to each other it takes time but it's worth the wait
