anitram At home we do the subtracting but Hans is pretty good being held for a SHORT time. Our vet is also not far away and if you're in the neighbourhood you can go in and use the scale which is in their front foyer/waiting room.

HarleyTheGSD Maybe you could try putting a few treats on the scale, so your pup is busy snacking while you check the weight.

This is what I do. It's always the same when I take mine to the vet. Mine moved a lot too. But he is use to it now.

How do you weigh puppies?

As the title says, how do you do it? I need a better way of doing it.

What I do is put myself on the weighing scale, then carry her up and subtract my weight to get hers but it isn't really accurate since she tends to move about when carried so the scale fluctuates. Also, I suspect this might get more difficult when she becomes an adult and is heavier.
