I agree with the court , make sure you have documentation of EVERYTHING..
Did you get any kind of written contract??
You can always call AKC, but I seriously doubt they'll do anything, they are just a "registry".
You can always post about them/your experience on RIPOFF.com , then when someone googles the kennel name/breeder it will pop up..

I agree with Gwenhwyfair...take this piece of garbage to court....the AKC probably means little to her.
Hitting these creeps in the pocketbook is one of the only ways which might get their attention but most likely they will continue their dishonest practices. I would also investigate the potential for exposing them to criminal practices and fraud charges involving their "business"....this might slow them down more than a monetary loss. Your actions just might prevent something similar happening to the next individual who chooses to buy a dog from her.
Yes, maybe the AKC might direct you in some fashion as I am certain this ploy regarding "full AKC registration" is a scam they are quite familiar with....
Sorry to hear the pup's health is compromised but I have this belief that dogs show up on our "doorsteps" for all the right reasons...no matter the hardship which comes with the dog....

Some of our breeders may be along shortly to give you ideas on what the AKC can or will do but I'm thinking the only thing would be revoke registration on dogs illegally registered.
My suggestion would be to take the breeder to small claims court. File complaints with the USDA for poor breeding practices too.
Put some reviews on rip-off reports online where you can use her full name, including kennel name.
If you can win a court case the case becomes a matter of public record.
I'm just wondering, she forged signatures right in front of you? What did you do at that time?

Reporting a bad breeder to AKC?
Has anyone ever reported a breeder to AKC? How often do they shut down bad breeders/scammers?
We purchased a puppy with full AKC registration last year, but never received the papers. When the breeder told us we couldn't get papers, by then the dog was 10 months old, fully obedience trained and prepping for service work. When we asked for a refund/partial refund/replacement puppy due to the lack of papers, she refused to give us anything, and instead offered to buy the fully obedience-trained dog back for $200. Yeah right.
The dog was diagnosed with a life threatening disease just before she turned 1 year old, making her unable to be a service dog. She will die early from it and obviously cannot be bred. It is genetic, too, not just bad luck like cancer. We asked again for a refund/replacement and the breeder said no. She also said she wouldn't have pups available again until late in the year, but her website says she has pups due next week.
I messaged her threatening to go to AKC, but she's ignored my email.
So, has anyone complained to AKC before? The puppy we bought had seizures on her first night home due to severe worms. The breeder is a dog flipper, a scam artist (selling an absolutely untrained dog as an "obedience-trained service dog" for $2500 for example). She forged her husband's signature on AKC documents in front of me, using her husband's name for all AKC documents and contracts, though I've never seen him and she manages everything. She just sold another dog to someone, and refuses to give them papers too, so I am staying in contact with them.
If anyone has any input, or suggestions, please let me know. I am going in blind here.
Am I wrong for wanting a refund/replacement?
